Tomoko Kuriyama and Guillaume Bott, the maison de vin "Chanterêves", this micro-négoce has already released 9 vintages(2010-2018) and they had established a firm position. Today, older vintages such as '10, '11, '12, '13 have prove ability of their wine to age and authenticity, and newer vintages '14 and '15 indicated synchronization of their direction and natural wine movement much clearer, and they have expanded their lineup in 2016 - 2017 including "domaine" wine. Now Chanterêves is well recognized as one of the star producers in Burgundy. On the other hand, it seems that they free their mind from the limitation of tradition of regions and its wine-making. They source high quality grapes from outside of Côte d'Or and making brilliant "Vin de France" by very challenging non-intervention manner and named "L'Intrus".

They work with growers closely to obtain ideal grapes(they also work in vineyards), and using biologically farmed grapes preferentially. Wine-making has carried out naturally as much as possible under non-interventional manner. Fermented by indigenous yeasts, new barrels are not used for white wine at all. There is no gimmick or makeup. This natural wines are supported by high quality of grapes and their artisanal spirit with sophisticated skills.



L'Intrus Viognier 2018

2018 L'Intrus(=intruder in English) Blanc is Viognier, grapes(certified biologic) from old vines were sourced from the vineyards located at high altitude of Southern Rhone valley. Maceration carbonic, fermented by wild yeast. No SO2 added during vinification and added minimal portion at the bottling. It has orange colour and cloudy at young stage. Very rich like nectar with lovely osmanthus aroma.

L'Intrus Riesling 2016


L'Intrus(=intruder in English) is a adventure of Chantereves that producing wine in Savigny les Beaune using grapes from other region. This new concept is being actualized by their sophisticated skills of vigneron with a free mind. L'Intrus 2016 Rouge is a syrah from Cotes du Rhone and Blanc is Riesling from Mosel, Germany.

We will see more this kind of experimental, advanced wine making, such as Frederic Cossard(=he exchanged grapes with Jean-François Ganevat/Jura, colabolation with producers in Beaujolais, Languedoc etc) from now on.

ラントルは、ブルゴーニュのヴィニュロンである私たちが他の土地にわけ入ってワインを造ること、そして異邦のワインがブルゴーニュ中心のシャントレーヴのラインナップに加わったこと両方を示唆しています。遊びとさらなる冒険を夢見て。ブルゴーニュとはまた違うアプローチでラントルを造ってみると、ブルゴーニュを造るための新たなインスピレーションを得ることもあります。
