Report

Hereafter is the brief comments for each vintages.
2007 V.V. is definitely delicious now, good concentration, complexity and decent structure, it was not like many of other 2007.
2009 V.V. were still opening and gained more weight. Higher concentration than 2007. We really want to see how this great vintage will develop in the future.
Possibly 2004 CHERBADES was the best of last night tasting. Wine stepped into 3rd stage now. Started to show Terroir by maturation. CHERBAUDES is located next to 3 Grand Crus which are MAZIS, CLOS DE BEZE and CHAPELLE.
2003 COMBE AUX MOINES was a little surprise. The wine keeps freshness and fine acidity. 2003 vintage is considered as over-ripe and low acid, but this general consideration was not applied to Fourrier's 2003. Very complex, deep and multilayered. This is not power-driven, but elegant.
Suggestion : For the young Village class, high quality charcuteries and fromage(L'ami de Chambertin, Epoisses) seems to be best choice. For the matured Premier Cru, we better bring the bottle to good restaurant and discuss with capable sommelier beforehand. These wines require sophisticated cuisine.
