Layers of mineral-infused red fruit, roses, menthol, tar and licorice on a soft, textured frame. Deceptively medium in body, the wine boasts superb integrity in its fruit and exceptional overall balance. I loved the wine for its sense of harmony and poise, both of which are brilliant. RP93
2005 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva in perfect condition(OC), directly from winery / You may know sad incident of Soldera happened in 2012, lost 6 vintages of Brunello di Montalcino. This is a precious bottle of 2005 which was released just before that catastrophe. Case Price $8,640

Layers of sweet red fruit meld into rose petals, licorice, spices and mint as the 2007 seduces all of the senses. The ripe, open personality of the year is present, but there is more than enough structure to provide balance. Floral notes reappear on the vibrant, beautifully articulated finish. RP97

Elegant and savory, with mushroom, dried cherry, tobacco and mineral aromas and flavors, matched to an elegant frame. The silky texture is offset by dense, refined tannins. Finishes with an umami theme. WS94 In fact, this wine had been released as "Brunello di Montalcino Riserva in the beginning. He changed label of remaining lot and released as "Toscana IGT" after resignation from Brunello Consorzio. This gorgeous Brunello displays aromas of blackberries, plums, spices, citrus zest, floral and sweet licorice which leap from the glass. Offering a medium-full body, which gives way to the beautiful soft, silky texture that makes a seamless transition straight through the finish. IWR92

Earthy, almost funky aromas of forest floor, black olive, scorched earth, wild berry, leather and carob abound on this soulful red. On the enveloping palate, velvety tannins support dried black cherry, raspberry, clove, cured meat and game. Be sure to open this a few hours in advance to let it breathe and fully open up.
