Demand for Domaine de la Cras Marc Soyard has been increasing year by year. In particular, the 2023s are a great success, and all of them are delicious. The four cuvées in the standard range were released first (already arrived in our shop), and several cuvées in the premium range were released later. The premium range is currently being prepared for shipment in Beaune.
The problem we always face is with the rare cuvées such as Hermaïon and Acte. These are extremely scarce, with an allocation of only one or two cases granted per purchase of several hundred other wines at best. In some years, only a few bottles are available. In 2023, Montrecul also had a very small production.
If we simply put them on the shelf or in our online shop at normal prices, either the first person who happens to find them or some wine-broker–type operator will buy everything, and the bottles will never reach the people who truly want to enjoy drinking them. Even fans who have tried the standard cuvées, liked them, and wish to move up to the higher cuvées hardly get a chance.
Therefore, although it may not be the best approach, we have decided to offer a portion of the wines as an assortment for pre-order in an effort to make the distribution as fair as possible.
