Maruo Honten Brewery is located near Kotohira-gu Shrine in Kotohira-cho, Kagawa Prefecture and was established in 1885. The sake named “Yorokobi-Gaijin” is made by artisanal traditional method. The rices are steamed by wooden basket and caldron to gain the best condition. They make huge efforts to brew whole range of sake equally : from Junmai-shu to Junmai-daiginjou. All hand made, the sake is unfiltered and without using any charcoal at all.

The sake "Yorokobi-Gaijin" is totally outstanding. Strusctured, robust yet delicate, dense, balanced sake can age for a long term. The sake shows full picture with high-resolution and liven up when it's heated.

Locally grown Ooseto 100%, rice polishing rate 60% Junmai-shu. Produced by small tank with only 600kg of rice. Unfiltered and unpasteurised, aged bottle.

It possesses strong structure, powerful, yet its expression is brilliant and delicate. The great masterpiece of Maruo-Honten brewery. Good for warm/hot temperature.
