It’s absolutely exceptional

The 2008 Barolo Rupestris shows slightly more heft and concentration to the appearance with dark garnet tones and fresher fruit aromas. Dark cherry, pressed blackberry and plum are backed by a generous array of balsam aromas that include eucalyptus, dried mint, hummus, tar and cola. This wine was released in February of this year and only 9,000 bottles were made. It’s absolutely exceptional. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2039.

In keeping with his father’s wishes, Augusto Cappellano does not send samples to wine guides and he asks all of those who tastes his wines to refrain from assigning numerical points.
